Remembering Our Roots
Embrace the power of legacy as Remembering Our Roots honors Black History Month and the resilience, achievements, and cultural contributions of the community. Remembering Our Roots will feature live performances from several diverse musical, dance, and specialty groups.

Kijiji Moja
Kijiji Moja means "one village" in Swahili and this event promises to be an immersive experience, celebrating diverse cultures and fostering unity within the community. Event highlights include tribal storytelling, live entertainment, arts and crafts, a bounce house, vendors, and more.

Sistrunk Parade & Festival
The Sistrunk Parade and Festival is back on Saturday, February 24 at 8:30 a.m. featuring marching bands, step teams, classic cars, floats, and more. The parade begins at Lincoln Park, located at 600 NW 19th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, traveling east down Sistrunk Boulevard to NW 9th Avenue. The festival will take place following the parade until 8 p.m. on Sistrunk Boulevard from NW 9th Avenue to NW 13th Avenue. Highlights include live music, interactive games, a kids zone, merchandise vendors, food vendors, and so much more! This is a free event. For details, visit sistrunkfestival.org.

Traffic Advisory
The following traffic advisory will be in effect for the Sistrunk Parade and Festival.
- Friday, February 23 beginning at 3 p.m. – Sistrunk Boulevard will be closed from NW 9th Avenue to NW 13th Avenue.
- Saturday, February 24 from 6:30 to 9 a.m. – Sistrunk Boulevard will be closed from NW 9th Avenue to NW 31st Avenue.
- Saturday, February 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Sistrunk Boulevard will be closed from NW 9th Avenue to NW 19th Avenue.
- Saturday, February 24 from 1 to 10 p.m. – Sistrunk Boulevard will be closed from NW 9th Avenue to NW 13th Avenue.
Expect traffic congestion and plan travel times accordingly.
